Periodontal disease is treated by removing the irritants around the teeth. Only, after bacterial plaque and tartar deposits are removed will the gums return to health.
Depending on how advanced your particular case is, treatment may involve scaling and root planing, flap surgery, bone graft/guided tissue regeneration, soft tissue grafting, local antimicrobial therapy, or occlusal adjustments/bite guards.
Visit our Treatment Procedures page to read more about these procedures.
